I have had dogs in my life since early childhood. My father was a man who taught the respect for and love of all animals. Many dogs and decades later I cannot imagine a life having been lived without their love and companionship.

One thing I have taught in all my classes all these decades is balance. I have taught and competed with horses, taught and competed in cycling, taught and competed in martial arts, shooting, and assisted training with cadaver dog training, police K9 training, and Schutzhund where I trained my own dogs. I have taught law enforcement a broad area of disciplines.

I currently teach emergency care for dogs as a community service.  I worked for 6 years at Palm Beach County Animal Control and a local Emergency Pet Clinic.

 

I am hoping to add evaluating CGC, Trick and AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy. My own pup, a young Border Collie named Gracie, is my medical alert service dog. She also trains in Obedience, Agility, Herding and Trick to keep her agile mind positively occupied!

One thing that keeps a great training team of dogs and handlers is BALANCE! We all need to maintain balance in our lives to remain healthy. Health is a physical, mental, and emotional journey for our lifetime. Dogs can bring so much to balance our lives from external incidents.

Dogs benefit from the same care I offer my patients every day.  Acupuncture, acupressure, and meditation can be a daily practice. There are many qualified veterinarians who offer Traditional Chinese Medicine care for pups!

I currently belong to the Obedience Training Club of Palm Beach County. Dog clubs are excellent resources to find quality training for your pups. Joining a quality club gives you a family of like-minded dog lovers who will be there for you and your pup's journey together.
